The Charting screen.comprises of two main sections, on the left are pre built content headings

(SUBJECTIVE, OBJECTIVE, ASSESSMENT, PLAN etc). Under these headings, different Level-1's are listed. When a Level-1 is clicked, a customizable list of Level-2's (Component Items) to be included in the chart note is presented on the right.

Level-1's (components) in the Consultation Sheet can be edited and new Level-1's (components) can be added easily to improve or update your notes.

As an example if we take the Subjective section, the list of Level-1 (component)s for the section will be listed under it as shown below.

To add a Level-1 (component),

1. Click on the Add button on top in the Level-1 area. The Add Level-1 dialog box will appear as shown below.

Enter the following information in this window:-

i.	Enter the Name and Code of this Level-1 in the respective boxes.

ii.	If you want this Level-1 to appear under any other Level-1 as its child, select a Parent Level-1 (component) by clicking the search button. The Level-1 Search List will be displayed as shown below.

In the Name box, enter the name of the parent Level-1 (component) and click the Search button. (For e.g. to add this Level-1 (component) under CHIEF COMPLAINT, type CHIEF COMPLAINT in the box and click the Search button.)
A list of Level-1's will be displayed, click on the required Level-1 (component) to set it as the parent and then click the Close button. The Level-1 (component) that you selected will be displayed in the Parent box.

iv.	Enter a description for the Level-1 (component) in the Description box.

The List Order option gives you the flexibility to set the Level-1 (component)s to display in the Level-1 (component)s list as per your requirement. For e.g. suppose there are three Level-1 (component)s under CHIEF COMPLAINT and you wish to view the current Level-1 (component) (INJURY) as the first Level-1 (component) under CHIEF COMPLAINT, just type 1 in the List Order box. The Level-1 (component) will be displayed as the first Level-1 (component) under CHIEF COMPLAINT.

vi.	Click in the SOAP box and choose where you wish this Level-1 (component) to appear i.e. under SUBJECTIVE, OBJECTIVE, ASSESSMENT or PLAN.

vii.	In the Applicable to User box, select the users to whom the changes in this Level-1 (component) will be applicable.

Click in the Active check box and select it, the Level-1 (component) will not be available if this box is left clear.

ix.	To customize the narration, click in the Begin Text and End text box and enter the text that you require the narration to begin with and end with.

x.	To start the narration for this Level-1 (component) from a new line, click in the Start at new line check box and select it; likewise to end the narration at a new line, click in the End at new line check box and select it.

xi.	Click the Save button.

The new Level-1 (component) will be saved and added to the Level-1 (component)s list.
