EMR > Customizations > How do I remove a Level-2 Down / Right Option/Value?

To remove a Level-2 Down/ Right option,

1. From the Charting screen, double click on the Level-2, the Edit Level-2 dialog box will appear.

2. There are two tabs in this dialog box (The steps to remove Level-2 Down and Level-2 Right are the same.) click on the required tab:

Level-2 Down:- Click on this tab to remove options below the Level-2 list.

Level-2 Right:- Click on this tab to remove options to the right of the Level-2 list.

3. Click to clear the Active check box; the Level-2 Down / Right options will be made inactive if this box is unchecked.

4. Click the Add/Update button, the Level-2 Down/Right option will be displayed as inactive in the list below. Click the Save button below and close this chart. Reopen the Charting screen to make this change effective; the Level-2 Down/Right will not appear in the list when the Level-2 is selected.

Now let us go ahead and remove a Level-2 Down named Food Additives under Level-2 called Food

i.	From the Charting screen, double click on the Level-2 named Food, the Edit Level-2 dialog box will appear.

ii.	There are two tabs in this dialog box (Since we are going to remove a Level-2 Down option, click on the Level-2 Down tab.

iii.	Click to clear the Active check box; the Food Additives will be made inactive when this box is unchecked.

iv.	Click the Add/Update button, Food Additives option will be displayed as inactive in the list below. Click the Save button below and close this chart. Reopen the Charting screen to make this change effective; Food Additives will not appear in the list when the Level-2 is selected.
