Clinical Reminders

Clinical reminders inform providers when recommended actions are due for a particular patient.

To set a new Clinical Reminder for a patient:

 

1. From the Clinical Desktop, select the patient for whom the Clinical Reminder is to be set.

2. Open the charting page for the patient and click on Alert & Reminder tab as shown below.

The Patient Alert & Reminder page will be displayed. If there are any Alerts or Reminders for this patient, it will be displayed here.

3. Click on the Add add_icon button, the Reminder box will appear.

4. Enter the required details mentioned below.

 

Type

Click in this box and choose the type of Reminder (CALL BACK, COMPLETION, RECHECK, RECALL, REMINDER, TO DO).

Category

Sect the correct category of the Reminder from this box (CONSULTATION, COUNSELING, FOLLOW UP, LAB, X-RAY)

Name

Enter a name for this Reminder in this box.

Assigned to User

Select the user to whom this Reminder should be assigned, the current user is selected by default.

Details

Enter the details of the Reminder.

Initiate Date

Click on the date icon and choose the date of initiation of this Reminder.

Due Date In

Select a due date for the Reminder.

Review Date

This date is entered when a user reviews the Reminder. (not required field)

Status

Set the status of this Reminder to PENDING, it can be changed later to (COMPLETED, REVIEWED or VOID) depending on the nature of the task.

Review Comment

Comments while reviewing the Reminder can be entered in this box, if required.

 

5. Click the Save button, the Reminder will be updated and displayed on the screen.

 

tip 24x24 This Recall will also be added to the Reminder tab on the Clinical Desktop. Next time when the user or clinical staff opens the Clinical Desktop, the Reminder tab will blink. On clicking the Reminder tab, all the Clinical Reminders with their Status as Pending will be displayed with particulars like Patient name, Details, Status, Initiate Date and Due date.

 

6. To view or edit details of a Reminder, simply click it, this will open the Reminder dialog box, make the necessary changes to the Reminder as required and then click the Save button.
